Inexpensive Cat Toys Your Feline Friends Will Enjoy

If you are the proud owner of an indoor cat then you have probably come to the realization that having toys around for your little friend is not just a luxury, it's a necessity!  This is because if you don't place toys for your cat's enjoyment, he's going to make some fun out of your stuff.  But let's not forget that watching your cat play with fun and entertaining toys is one of the great pleasures of owning a cat.

There are literally hundreds, if not thousands, of cat toys being sold on the market today.  Some are very simple, yet others are little more sophisticated and are quite costly.  For example, you may have seen those neat little battery operated toys that run around as if they were real mice.  I have to admit that these are quite an interesting toy to watch a cat play with.  I have owned some in the past and have watched my cats play endlessly for two to three hours at a time.

But if money is tight and you are looking for fun ways to entertain your cat in the house, then do not get discouraged because some of the best toys that a cat can have are extremely cheap to get a hold of.  One such example of a nifty toy that is great for your cat are cat fishing poles.  They are made up of a lightweight and flexible pole that dangles a feather or a stuffed toy at the end of a string.  You can sit comfortably and play with this fishing pole while your cat gives everything he's got into trying to catch the dangling object.  This can last for hours.

Or you may want to consider purchasing very inexpensive mouse dolls that are made out of fur. As long as they are light enough, your cat will be able to pounce on them and toss them into the air with great enjoyment.  And if you don't mind the noise, you can purchase little fur balls that have bells dangling from the side.  These bells create an enjoyable sound that goes along with a fun toy that your cats will consider “prey” as they chase them around. But do not get these toys confused with “squeaky” toys.  Cats are not strong enough to squeeze a squeaky toy and they are or more designed for dogs anyways.
